Kolkata can justly take pride in the attractions we do not find anywhere in India. Among these may be mentioned the Victoria Memorial, the Howrah Bridge which is the third largest bridge in the world where moreover 2 million people cross over it every day, the Metro Railway, and the latest addition – the Vidyasagar Setu (Commonly Known as the Second hoogly Bridge), the great attraction of Kolkata. This Setu has been built across the Hooghly near Princep Ghat by the BBJ (Braithwaite, Burn and Jessop Constraction Company Limited). It is Asia’s largest cable-stayed Bridge and the first of its kind in India.
Museum, the another attraction of Kolkata. It is the largest India’s Museum at the Jawaharlal Nehru Road, Kolkata. The building is huge and imposing one. It is a marvel of engineering skill. The museum has several galleries. In each curios are preserved carefully. You will impressed to see the headless statue of Kaniska, the greatest of the Kushan Kings, and the statues of Buddha in various postures. In one place you’ll see the Egyptian Mummy in a glass box, it is three thousand years old. This museum is a great store-house of knowledge.
